We are delighted to welcome Mitchell Waters to Young’s List following his signing of the Victorian Bar Roll.
Mitchell practises in commercial disputes, with a focus on insolvency and public law.
He commenced his career as Associate to the Honourable Justice Ferguson (as she then was) in the Corporations List of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Mitchell practised at Mills Oakley and Holding Redlich, where he was a Senior Associate. He developed particular expertise in insolvency, advising insolvency practitioners on all aspects of their appointments and managing complex litigation in both the Supreme and Federal Courts. In 2018, he completed ARITA’s Advanced Certification in Insolvency.
Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Mitchell was a Principal Solicitor at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and was seconded to COVID-19 Legal at the Department of Health (Victoria), where he instructed in a class action arising out of the pandemic.
