Young’s List is delighted to welcome Martin Guthrie. Martin has a broad commercial practice. He recently appeared as junior counsel in a commercial arbitration arising out of large, complex contractual dispute. Martin was a solicitor in the London office of an international law firm – as a finance lawyer and a banking and finance litigator. Martin started his career at Allens Arthur Robinson where he specialised in commercial litigation. During his time at AAR, he acted for one of Australia’s largest corporations in a dispute against the Commissioner of Taxation. Martin holds a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the University of Oxford and a first class honours degree in law from the Australian National University. Martin is meticulous in his preparation of cases and provides a first class service for all his clients. He is praised for his advocacy skills, his judgement and his ability to tackle challenging and complex legal arguments.
