Young’s List congratulates Jane Gregory and Grant Lubofsky on signing the Bar Roll, and wish them every success in their careers at the Victorian Bar.
Jane practises in commercial law with a focus on class actions, competition law, consumer law and property litigation.
Prior to joining the Bar, Jane was a solicitor at Allens in the Disputes and Investigations team. She worked on a broad range of commercial disputes, including class actions and regulatory investigations. Jane has worked on matters involving the ACCC, APRA and the AFP.
During her time at Allens, Jane was seconded to Ford Motor Company for one year. At Ford Jane provided advice on litigious matters involving consumer law issues. That experience developed her understanding of how barristers and external solicitors can best assist in-house legal counsel.
Jane also practises in property law. She spent a year working in Allens’ Real Estate Team and, following that experience, has worked on property litigation. She has advised clients in both the public and private sectors.
Jane has a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from Monash University, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce.
Grant accepts briefs to appear and advise in all commercial law matters.
Before coming to the Bar, Grant practiced as a solicitor in commercial disputes and insolvency at Minter Ellison where he acted for public and private companies, government agencies and individuals, primarily in superior and appellate Courts. His broad practice as a solicitor included contract law, property law and retail leasing, corporations law and directors’ liability, equity and trusts, banking and insolvency, commercial crime and appellate proceedings.
Most recently Grant was the Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Almond at the Supreme Court of Victoria (Commercial Court), where he gained considerable exposure to complex commercial proceedings in a judge-managed list.
Grant holds a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from Monash University.
