In addition to settling pleadings and preparing for and appearing at trials he is often briefed to give advice, both written and in conference.
Grant also has a broad practice in proceeds of crime and confiscations litigation, both in State and Federal jurisdictions. He is involved in a significant number of cases in which property is being sought to be excluded from restraining orders, and has successfully obtained and negotiated orders excluding property on behalf of a large number of applicants.
Grant is also a nationally accredited mediator and is available to mediate a wide variety of commercial and other disputes. He adopts a practical and “down-to-earth” approach to mediations of all kinds.
Before coming to the Bar, Grant practised as a solicitor in the commercial disputes and insolvency teams at Minter Ellison. More recently, Grant was the Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Almond at the Supreme Court of Victoria (Commercial Court).
