Young’s List barrister Michael Rivette co-authored the international text, Remedies for Breach of Privacy, which was published by Hart Publications UK.
The book has its origins in the International Workshop on Remedies for Breach of Privacy, which was held at Melbourne Law School from 12 to 13 December 2016. The coming together of lead academics, practitioners and judges from the across the common law world led to two days of rich and stimulating discussion, which produced new thinking on the difficult questions raised by the emergent law of remedies for breach of privacy.
Michael is also the co-author of the Australian sections of the leading UK text Tugendhat and Christie The Law of Privacy and the Media, published by Oxford University Press. He is also the only Australian barrister listed in Best Lawyers 2019 in the field of Privacy and Data Protection.
