We are delighted to congratulate Daniel Aghion who received the Ron Merkel QC Award at the Victorian Bar Pro Bono Awards on 16 October 2014.
Daniel was awarded for his pro bono work in Homeless Law including injunction proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria to prevent the proposed eviction of a public housing tenant as well as providing advice and support to 17 women through the Women’s Homelessness Prevention Project. Daniel was also recognised for his submissions regarding the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 and for his contribution to Seniors Law.
