With over 20 years’ experience, Felicity has significant expertise across a broad range of Intellectual Property law, including trade mark disputes (trade mark oppositions and non- use applications in the Trade Marks Office, appeals from the Office to the Federal Court and infringement and revocation proceedings in the Federal Court) , passing off and misleading conduct claims, infringement of copyright and designs, patent infringement cases and revocation disputes in the Federal Court and breach of confidential information cases . Felicity’s practice commonly involves cases with significant technical content, including disputes arising from the installation of major IT systems to multimillion dollar outsourcing arrangements.
Felicity’s expertise extends to corporate and commercial law, regularly advising clients in relation to a broad range of contractual disputes, including franchising disputes. Prior to coming to the Bar Felicity was a partner at Phillips Fox (now DLA Piper). Felicity’s extensive experience is reflected in a correspondingly wide range of clients encompassing multinational corporations to individual inventors, composers and artists. With significant experience in large-scale litigation, Felicity regularly appears with a leader, and is equally comfortable as sole counsel. In addition to appearing in Melbourne, Felicity has appeared in cases in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
