Young's List welcomes Readers Gayann Walker and Chris Hender
Gayann Walker accepts briefs in the following areas:
- General commercial law;
- Administrative and public law, including vocational regulation and statutory prosecutions; and
- Sports law.
Gayann also has a particular interest in children’s law and will accept briefs to appear in the Children’s Court, as ICL in family law matters and other matters that impact on the rights of children.
Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Gayann was a solicitor at the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions where she was responsible for regulatory matters and personal injury claims. Gayann also worked at the Department of Health and Human Services as a solicitor advocate in the Family Division of the Children’s Court.
Chris Hender practices primarily in commercial disputes, with a particular focus on building and construction, insurance, insolvency and arbitration. Chris has particular strength in advising clients on complex legal issues and litigation strategy.
Before being called to the Bar, Chris was a Senior Associate at MolinoCahill Lawyers, a specialist law firm providing legal advice to clients involved in the construction, infrastructure, technology, defence, and energy and resource sectors across Australia.
