Young’s List barrister Chris McDermott will chair a panel discussion as part of Great Expectations – Interview with First Nations Barristers, hosted by the Indigenous Justice Committee.
The session will explore career expectations, trajectories, and the unique challenges and rewards of life at the Bar from a First Nations perspective.
Christopher will be joined by his Indigenous Justice Committee Co-Chair Tim Goodwin and fellow panellist Candice Jackson, who will share their personal experiences and highlight the wide range of opportunities available to First Nations law students and lawyers—well beyond the traditional expectations of practice in areas such as native title, land rights, criminal law, and family law.
