Oliver Keogh practises in all areas of commercial and public law, with a particular focus on contract, insolvency, tort, property, and building and construction disputes.
Before coming to the Bar, Oliver practised as a solicitor in the Insolvency team at Ashurst and as a senior associate in the Commercial Litigation team at Merton Lawyers. In these roles, he acted in complex commercial disputes spanning large-scale insolvency proceedings, major renewables projects, judicial review, sale of land and leasing disputes, building and construction matters, and contractual and equitable claims (including trusts).
Oliver also served as the associate to the Honourable Justice Stynes (Head of the Technology, Engineering and Construction List) in the Commercial Court of the Supreme Court of Victoria. In this role, he assisted her Honour in significant matters involving major project disputes, construction litigation, restitution, judicial review and matters arising under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 (Vic).
Oliver prides himself on being commercial, pragmatic and easy to work with.
Oliver is reading with Jeremy Masters and his senior mentor is Nicholas Pane KC.
