Nicholas Li

Nicholas Li practices primarily in commercial, public and regulatory law, with a focus on commercial class actions. He has a particular interest in competition and consumer law, including misuse of market power proceedings.

Before coming to the Bar, he was an Associate at Phi Finney McDonald, where he gained experience in large, complex continuous disclosure and consumer law class actions involving industries including banking and finance, technology and mining.

Nicholas has experience in various stages of group litigation, including mediation, settlement approval and trial.

He also brings a background in journalism and is available to accept briefs in media law matters, including defamation.

Nicholas holds a Juris Doctor (A Grade Pass) from La Trobe University and Bachelor of Journalism (Distinction) from Monash University.

Nicholas is reading with Timothy Maxwell, and his senior mentor is Michael Borsky KC.
