Natalie is a Victorian-based barrister with a broad and diverse practice in public law, environment, planning, and employment law. Her clients include government agencies, water authorities, ministers, councils, developers, individuals, and objectors.
With extensive experience in judicial and merits review, regulatory matters, inquests, and investigations, Natalie is a skilled advocate who regularly appears both led and unled in courts, tribunals, planning panels, and boards of inquiries in Victoria.
Water law, environmental law, and waste regulation are key areas of focus for Natalie, who is particularly passionate about the intersections of regulation, policy, and sustainability. She welcomes briefs that explore these critical issues.
Additionally, Natalie is an accredited mediator (AMDRAS), having completed the Victorian Bar’s Lawyer’s Mediation Certificate in 2025, broadening her practice to include alternative dispute resolution.
Natalie holds a Master of Public and International Law from the University of Melbourne and is currently pursuing a Master of Planning and Environment at RMIT.
Before being called to the Bar, Natalie worked in the disability sector in both the UK and Australia, which provided her with a keen understanding of the sector. She continues to apply this expertise, regularly advising and representing the NDIA in disability matters before the Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Court.
Beyond her legal practice, Natalie is a regular reporter for the Victorian Reports and has taught statutory interpretation and administrative law at La Trobe University. She has also instructed at the Leo Cussen Tribunal Advocacy Course. Her current after-work passion is throwing pots on the wheel and learning about glazes.
