Mitch has in-depth experience in commercial disputes, with a focus on insolvency, and Public Law.
He commenced his career as the associate to the Honourable Justice Ferguson (as she then was) in the Corporations List of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Mitch then practised as solicitor at Mills Oakley and Holding Redlich Lawyers where he was a Senior Associate. He undertook a broad range of commercial disputes work but came to specialise in insolvency. Mitch advised insolvency practitioners on all aspects of their appointments. He also managed small teams in complex litigation in both the Supreme and Federal Courts. In 2018, he completed ARITA’s Advanced Certification in Insolvency.
Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Mitch was a Principal Solicitor at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and had been seconded to Covid-19 Legal, Department of Health (Vic.) where he instructed solicitors in a class action arising out of the pandemic.
Mitch is reading with Daniel Snyder and his senior mentor is Dr. Oren Bigos KC.
