Jack Trainor practises in all areas of commercial and public law, with a particular focus on contract, insolvency, tort, property, and trusts disputes.
Before coming to the Bar, Jack was a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at Holding Redlich and was previously a solicitor at Russell Kennedy. Jack’s experience spans multiple jurisdictions and includes civil penalty proceedings for and against ASIC, shareholder and trust disputes, property development and finance disputes, insolvency appointments, mining and proceeds of crime disputes. Jack had carriage of a broad range of matters on behalf of Commonwealth and Victorian government clients, large financial institutions, listed entities, private companies and individuals. Jack has also advised clients in connection with royal commissions and public inquiries.
Jack also served as Associate to the Honourable Justice Sloss in the Commercial Court of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Jack is known for being commercial, pragmatic and collaborative.
Jack is reading with Nina Moncrief and his senior mentor is Christian Juebner KC.
