Declan Peacock practices in building and construction, corporate & commercial, equity, and competition and consumer law.
He has a particular interest in infrastructure, technology and engineering litigation, regulatory disputes, as well as professional negligence and similar torts. Declan also practices in sports law and sits as a member of the Northern Football Netball League’s disciplinary tribunal.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Declan worked in the Construction and Projects group at Maddocks, where he advised and acted for Local and State Governments, and tier-1 contractors across a broad range of construction and infrastructure disputes.

- Cobolt Constructions Pty Ltd v Duke Ventures Wellington Street Pty Ltd [2025] VSC 609 – application for injunctive relief to restrain a principal from calling on bank guarantees (led by L Connolly)
- Gracon Properties Pty Ltd & Ors v Gracievski & Ors [2025] VSC 590 – application for freezing and ancillary orders (led by J Evans KC and B Slocum)
- Royal v Royal & Anor S ECI 2025 05080 – ex parte application for freezing and ancillary orders (unled)
- Acting for principals, owners corporations and builders in building and engineering disputes in the Supreme Court, County Court and VCAT
- Property disputes including claims seeking to set aside property transfers on the basis of unconscionable conduct, and disputes concerning the existence of implied or resulting trusts in the Supreme Court and County Court
- Acting for companies and directors in corporations disputes concerning breaches of directors’ duties, oppressive conduct, setting aside statutory demands and insolvency proceedings
